Import Duty for tickets to a gig in Germany

I purchased tickets to a concert in Germany from a German ticket agent They have posted them to my UK address and I have been changed import duty , is this correct as the concert is not in the Uk . I cannot find anything on the GOV website

That doesn’t make sense. Tickets for a concert are considered a supply of services and import duty/customs duty is a tax on goods. It doesn’t apply to services.

Who’s trying to charge you the duty?

The courier, the duty has been paid and they have delivered the tickets .i think i can apply for overpayment with a formC285
