Opened a virgin credit card just for the miles
And it has been an utter nightmare, received a very spammy looking email from them in Feb asking me to forward lots of id via a non virgin link.

Didn't do so, so was blocked from the App.

Tried phoning can't talk to me as account is blocked.

I used to pay balance in full every month via the app and bank payment.

Now, don't get bill just reminders, don't even have the bank details to pay them.

So getting marks against my credit and fees I imagine.

Open s a complaint and they just closed the complaint with no next steps.

Went to ombudsman.

Loads of Comms, no resolution other than I should have provided ID so not Virgins fault

Final step they suggest is to.email all my ID directly to virgin. All Virgins emails state their email is insecure.

1. what the hell am I meant to do, I just want to pay and close. And then I might county court for fees and interest as they have provided no bills.

2. Don't use Virgin or Clydesdale, worst people I have ever dealt with. Especially when I'm just begging to give them money.

Since Virgin closed down the web portal and moved to app-only its been ste to be honest.
If I had to open a new one now I would avoid them for that reason; literally the only reason I'm still there is because I had it before all that malarkey.

I think Nationwide have bought Virgin Money.

I would try going to a Nationwide branch to raise a complaint, and if they brush you off I would address a complaint to the Nationwide CEO (Dame Debbie Crosbie) in Swindon.

How about chucking it all in the bin and forgetting it ever happened?

I had a similar experience with Santander.

It’s scary how easily they can effectively steal your money and close the doors.

Ombudsman is useless.

Hope you get a resolution.

I have flying club credit card, current account, ISA and savings account. Wife the same

Whole thing is a mess. Different log ins for each - different customer numbers etc etc.

Go into bank.... want to withdraw £200.... its like asking them to clone a horse, teach it to do dressage, then ride it round the branch whilst juggling chainsaws.

I just avoid all contact now, do everything online and use cash machine at all costs.
