My son 30, I think maybe two small pensions now from previous jobs and the one he is in now for past three years.

I am trying to get him focused on paying a bit of attention to this now and aware it's quite likely there will be no state pension when it's his turn.

Is there a good App he can get it all in one place so he can see on his phone. Bit of an incentive to see it grow maybe add a bit extra .

Thanks

Does his pension provider not have an app to see growth - my work pension with Fidelity has one.

I also have a SIPP with interactive investor - they have an app too.

There is no app that consolidates a person's several different pension sources as they accumulate.

For many years the pensions industry and successive governments have pursed the concept of a pension dashboard that will achieve what your son is seeking. However, the dashboard, while a good idea, has proved very difficult for all parties to agree the content, basis, responsibility, costs allocation etc. IMO it's still a long way off being implemented.

Ok thanks. It's clicked with me now the stuff I have seen advertised is for consolidation of pensions in one pot then an App. I have one for my pension and I am retired. I will look at his current workplace pension app and seek to understand if it's a good idea to get the two other really small other pensions transferred into it . They are only a few 1000 each to add to his main one now.

It's going to be a wider issue I guess. I worked 40 years for only two employers so it was easy to see.
He is 30 three employers and three pensions, in his industry it's common place to change every 3 or 4 years .

There's a few pension forecast websites that you can add in multiple pension pots, cash savings etc some with continuing contributions and others just accumulating.

I can't remember which are the better ones but I think Guiide Pension Calculator has that option, and some others.

The apps for my two pensions (Aegon TargetPlan and Vanguard), while they give ‘performance’ data they are absolutely useless for monitoring how individual funds and the pensions in total perform over time. To the extent I’ve created my own spreadsheet to do the tracking, taking values from the apps/website weekly and deriving stats and graphics from the raw data.

You probably can’t make someone who is 30 interested in a pension if they don’t have that within them already.

He's my son I will get him there. I am seeking to make him more involved and aware ,the interest may follow.
My daughter 1 year older has it all pinned down ,very aware . It's not a trait of 30 year olds it would appear, many of their friends clueless.

My point was that if he was interested he would have done it, as your daughter has. You wont make him care.

I use an app called MoneyHub. It tracks four of my five pensions and updates automatically, usually daily. Only the Fidelity managed one doesn't work anymore. I think they changed their log-in process.

You can also add bank accounts, house value etc to give you a total assets figures.

Moneyhub for consumers is now being run by WPS Lifestage but it's essentially the same app.
