Cash ISA. Fixed Rate
Discussion
Until a few days ago I had a fixed rate one year, savings account with Sainsbury's at around 4%.
It's been moved to NatWest following a takeover and dumped unceremoniously into a savings account at a smidge over 1%
Looking for a cash ISA, fixed rate or otherwise & Natwest do 4.2% one year or 4% 2 year.
I'm not the biggest fan of Natwest but it seems a decent rate.
Anyone able to suggest anything better?
I already have an S&S ISA elsewhere
Thanks for any offerings

Moneysavingexpert always has the answer for me. I've got that 4.52% variable with Monkeypox at the moment.

Guessing that’s Moneybox?Just be aware that it’s not a flexible ISA, meaning if you put in 1k, take it out and put it back in, you’ll have used 2k of your ISA allowance.
Fine for putting away to save permanently, but not if you need regular access as a savings account.

Surprisingly for a High Street bank, those NatWest rates are very competitive at the moment. You could do slightly better, but not by much.I'm not the biggest fan of Natwest but it seems a decent rate.

Am aware, it is emergency fund
Anyway, I must be the only person on this forum who isn't threatening the meagre ISA allowance (£20k per annum at time of writing...)
ISA balance over 85k
unprotected or FCS protected?
time of year to find a new ISA provider,
I have been with same since starting the ISA saving.
seems there are others offering a little over the 4%
I take the interest monthly at present. seems the best on Moneybox are paid on maturity.

Think you can get vaccinated against it now, gives you chance to check rates whilst recovering though.Hustle_ said:
