Issues making payments on websites

If I purchase something on a website from my current account it frequently asks me to authorise the payment by going into the banking app. This is all fine but then when I go back into the retailer's website it has forgotten everything I have purchased and goes back to the start! I then frequently have to use a different card to complete the purchase usually one where they text me an authorisation code.
Is this something I need to speak to my bank about as it sounds like an issue with their app?
