When ever I use Amazon or Ebay they always want you to save your card to save time next purchase.
I think this is bad as if you delete the card each time if your account is hacked no puchaes can be made.
What do other do?

ebay is linked to PayPal, PayPal is linked to a card and bank account. If I can't use PayPal on other sites, I enter the card details each time, never save.

I know it’s not entirely the right attitude but isn’t a hacked cc more the cc company’s problem than yours?

Use a credit card...it doesn't matter if someone hacks your account, it's not your money.

PayPal seems a lesser risk but there's always a risk somewhere, can't mitigate for them all. All the security breaches I've been contacted about in the past have come from independent retailers being sloppy with personal details.

PayPal could be more hassle if things go wrong as you can’t immediately do a chargeback against the card you use to fund your account - you’re dependent on PayPal’s resolution process.

If you enable MFA on Amazon and eBay and similar sites I'd say you're in a pretty good place.

Same with PayPal.
