Need to check out my credit report. Seem to be 3 main players and think Callcredit hold the most information.

Anyone used them? Experience?

Any other suggestions?

TIA.

Experian provided all the information I needed, however it's hard work to cancel after the "free trial".

Experian would be my 1st choice.

All three hold potentially different information.

To get the full picture you need to access all 3.

I would pay the £2 cheque x 3.
No risk of trying to cancel free trials, selling up services etc, or irrelevant credit card scores to contend with smile

It's only £2 each, get them all. You can apply for Experian online, Equifax supposedly but it broke when I tried and I had to print out their form. Call Credit you need to do by post.

You are looking to get the "statutory credit report", don't bother with anything with a monthly fee.

IME Banks tend to use Equifax, other financial places Experian. They're the big two. They also share inforamtion with each other so it's not a biggie which one you choose.

I went for an Equifax one the other week, did it online took a few days for a letter to appear which told me I had to send copies of Bill/Driving Licence to confirm who I was, Scanned these though this morning on their site. So we'll see what it says next week.

Did callcredit on line. However did not show who had been pulling my file. Am sure many years ago when I had a credit report it showed who had been nosing around. Has this changed?

Experian is quite good, and will show who's checked your file etc. As somebody said they were a pain to cancel the trial with - actually have to phone up in the end.

Report is here but Sweet FA! Absolutely nothing on it at all despite previous loans / HP Agreements & Current agreements / Credit Cards.

E-mailed to find out why.

(Is this what happens if you only pay the £2 rather than "Subscribe", hastle from start to finish?)
