My wife and I have a joint account, from which all the household bills get paid from. It worked brilliantly for years, but as it was a cheapo, basic account, it didn't have internet access or even a cheque book.
So we decided to "upgrade" with the same bank. Lets avoid any potential name and shame stuff, so we'll call them Shat Fest. They transfer all the direct debits from the "old" account to the "new" account. We leave a few hundred quid in the old account, just in case someone forgot a DD. The new account is up and running, full of cash and all the direct debits come out as normal.
Apart from the one that pays her mobile bill, to a company that sounds not unlike Farphone w
ehouse. So they cut her off. Strange as there was enough money in both accounts to pay it and we had left the transfer of the DD's to the Shat Fest.
Anyway, after a long and difficult conversation with a call centre operative, who may or may not have been involved in organising the Delhi Games, I paid her bill on my Debit Card and gave them the new bank account details.
Fast forward 2 months, and my company mobile gets cut off without warning. I check with the company bank, Farclays. There is plenty of cash in there, it's just that the day before the DD was due to come out, the company that supplies our work phones cancelled the direct debit instruction.
WTF! So I call the company that supplies our companies phones, Hoe-two. They explain that someone at Farphone w
ehouse has instructed that this DD be cancelled. I get Hoe-two to lift my call ban, and agree to lift it for 14 days, allowing them enough time to get the direct debit set up, take a payment.
So 24hrs after I have this conversation with Hoe-two, they cut me off again. Ring them up, explain the entire f
king saga again. They apologise, lift the ban, say they'll set up the DD in the next 14 days.
8.55pm tonight the f
kers at Hoe-two put a call ban on the phone again. By the time I've found a landline, their call centre has shut for the evening.

I can't see who f

ked if I'm going to let them get away with blaming each other. I'm sure the Farphone Warehouse shouldn't be able to access my companies Hoe-two accounts.

CPW (used to?) manage some O2 customers. The issue will probably be both - shatfest send instructions to canx your DD to farphone, but their system only hold one DD instruction at a time, so cancels it. Am assuming that Hoe 2 are moveing customers to their own CRM and there is a miscommunication between the three (isn't done instantly on the same day etc etc). So call all three and make a complaint, but in a nice way so the advisor is more willing to help you, they may give you something for it
