Inflation, 1995 prices compared to today.

My first post on the "grown ups" pages, be gentle.
If something cost £7,350 in 1995,
a) how much would that be in relation to the average salary back then?
b) what would the price be now?

I'm just curious really, been looking at some old bike magazines, and noticed my bike would have cost £7350 when new in 1995.

a)£17,487.60 was the average gross salary in 1995
b) roughly £11,000.00
