I asked my dad to send a $US bank draft to the USA to make the first payment on a loan I took out, but it looks like it never arrived, lost in the post or whatever. So, is there any way to get a refund on a bank draft, or do I wave goodbye to that money forever?

We only used the bank draft in a bit of last minute emergency, because the cupid stunts who set up the loan neglected to tell me I can't pay it by salary deductions, despite it saying that I could on the loan application form......and then they sent the papers and details to England, but I don't live in England........

Long story.

I'm pretty sure you can get the money refunded on a currency cheque BUT your dad will have to take a hit on any currency fluctuations that have happened since he got it. Best to get in touch with the specific bank to check their policy.

I'll have to coax my dad to go in and ask.
