I've just had my annual statement through for Tax year 09/10 - and despite student loan repayments being taken off me, it says 'Received from HMRC: 0'

Who do I have to shout at - Employer, HMRC or SLC?

Most likely the SLC, they are completely incompetent.

The SLC is like the old CSA. Not fit for purpose.

USE RECORDED LETTER IN YOUR COMPLAINT AND RETAIN YOUR RECEIPT.

Raise this formally with all the parties, or you run the risk of paying twice.

HMRC will speak to their Student Loans dept on Mon apparently, and ring me back.

Chances of a call back? 25% I'll go for.

Having been through all this just recently; I've been repaying since 2008 and the SLC hadn't credited anything.

Get copies of your P60's for the years paid to date (or payslips if you've lost one) and send them in to the SLC. With the evidence they can pursue HMRC for the money owed and will backdate any iterest thats been messed up by the non-credit. They can't claim anything due until the end of that tax year either.

I'm just going to get into the habit of supplying a copy of my P60 every year to keep it up to date.

There;s a delay of up to six months for the money to get from PAYE to the SLC.

went through this with the wife's loans recently, it got sorted eventually and the interest doesn't build up in the mean time.

It's just st
