God awaful crap - at least in 2007 they were. I bought one for the house when I moved in and 6 months later the bearings were on their way out.
8 months after that full spin sounded similar to Concorde coming in to land - seriously, you could not be in the kitchen at the same time.
I sent a nasty letter to Comet after they fobbed me off because it was outside of 12 months and quoted the SOGA as well as all the reports round the net of recalls and general shoddy build quality.
They sent an engineer round who confirmed the bearings were shot and also the motor was on its way out.
I got a creit note and bought a Beko - 2 years later and it is still perfect.
They may have improved recently - I know the price of them went up quite a bit. The functions were good - prorammable timer etc but it just wasn't built properly.

Haha.
Funnily enough everytime I read it I think of 'Hiya' in a northern English accent. Think that is cos a guy in my work says it like that.
Pretty much how it's said, actually. Phonetically it's like 'Higher', and they are a massive company. When I was living in Guangdong South China, my home was in the same town as some of the Haier factories, and they were huge.Funnily enough everytime I read it I think of 'Hiya' in a northern English accent.
