Have just built a raised bed for a veg garden, nothing major, simply 2 good quality decking boards high, measures 3.5m sq. by 300mm deep, my questions are, how much soil to fill it, and, would you put good quality top soil in all of it, or would you put something else in first for drainage reasons.
I will put a weed membrane in first.
Thanx.

Volume = Length x Width x Height

3.675 m3 according to my croculator (assuming you mean metres squared and not square meters, in which case you'd only need 1.05 m3)

(Don't they teach this stuff any more?)
