Decorating idea

So guys soon I will hopefully be moving into my first ever house 
the question is every room being a new build is white.
Now the Miss's has a few ideas but they go as far as she wants a pink bedroom
The idea is to decorate one room a month, I'm more then capable at wall papering and painting but mood walls and colour combinations have never been my strong point.
So if you guys have any ideas to help me out or even want to post pictures of rooms that you have done for inspiration it would be greatly appreciated.

Nothing wrong with white walls! (not keen on magnolia though!)
You could do a lot worse than pick up a load of paint catalogues for your local DIY retailer, then having a look at all the example rooms in the pictures. Have a look through and decide which ones you like, blatantly steal the colour combinations they suggest...
Alternative to that the paint companies have decent websites where you can play around with different combinations.

Pink? Most girls grow out of that at about 7!
I'd live in it for a while until you know what you wnt to do. And try to avoid copying stuff from TV makeover progs because it will look naff in a year...
