I need to repair an outside tap. The setup is that the water main comes in via the big blue pipe, into a plastic stop valve, then out of the top of the stop valve via some kind of reducer directly into 15mm copper. I need a new reduced - what on earth do I need?

Something like this

you might have 25 mm rather than 20mm mains pipe though.

So long as it is a Floplas fitting. Internal reducers are not universal.
