my OH and I are in the process of moving right this second. been carting st to our new house all week, I am exhausted and sore as all hell. Havent gotten this much physical activity in a loooong time now. I quite like the feeling of being sore. Reminds me of when I used to lift weights. But, I will have you know we have to be out of the condo today, Sunday 5/15, and we still have the bed and various dressers and Tv stands and portable fireplace to cart to the house. I am not in the mood. I am hungry and weak from lack of food. Furthermore, to make matters all the more stty, it just started raining and its coming down pretty good, thunder and all. I dont really know how were gonna pull this off without getting everything wet. I have the pickup truck from the auto store my brother owns, and it has a cover, but its raining so hard that everything is going to get soaked no matter what we do. Moving is horrible. And let me just say, women are the worse kind of pack rats!! I cant believe all the stuff my OH has. Its endless! Got about 40 min of sunlight left. If that. Gotta go!

Guessin it's between 17:00 and 20:00 there.
Get her to pack her own stuff and next time she won't think about having as much to move biggrin
This will leave you free to grab something to eatnext time also grab another pair of hands, someone to help.

Apologies chaps, it seems we have a slight error with the 'beyond any usual acceptable level of tolerance' filter.

Actually, I would disagree, We recently moved within the UK and it was way more stressful than moving internationally

I have to say the third time we moved we paid a company to come in and pack most of the stuff, and remove the lot. They had an entire house cleared out in under 3 hours, and that includes dismantling a multi gym, wardrobe and bed. It was seriously like watching a moving miracle.

It's money well spent.

But I do feel for you OP, it's a job which is a right PITA when it's just you and a mate/parent etc

I think the risk of your/her stuff getting wet would reduce greatly if you moved it all instead of breaking to post updates on PH in the middle of a house move. Just a thought. biggrin
