£1.5-2k for a FULL rewire including sockets switches fuse box the lot!!

I'm no sparks but this is what I would expect to pay.

1.5K sounds a bit on the low side but TBH there are quite a few variables involved eg. where you are, if you are having additional sockets/switches, how much chasing/replastering needs to be done etc.

I paid about 3.5K for a full re-wire of a three bed end of terrace in SE London about 5 years ago.

Would the house be occupied at the time of the works?

If the electrician has to move furniture, lift carpets and floor boards, then clean up, plaster and re-instate the rooms it all takes time.

The materials used in domestic installations are all relatively cheap, it is the labour which is costly.
