Im just in the process of buying a composite front door (probably a Door-Stop International one) and noticed these Keyless door locks.

I know they're fairly new but had anyone got one or got any opinions on them? Are they reliable or just another gimmick?

And probably the worst staged advert ever:

Judging from the vid it sort of reminds me of hotels with the card key system, which sometimes seem to be a PITA.

Any thoughts??

Looks good - with 4 kids I dread them all having (and losing) keys so this looks pretty cool - after market or do you need a whole Yale door?

Clever stuff but I can't help thinking this is one of those solutions to problems that don't really exist. What happens when the battery runs out on the door?

Isn't that what the buttons are for?

Maybe, but they look like electronic switch buttons rather than mechanical lock buttons to me.

Thanks for the feedback, just found out the price..299 quid so I've decided against it. Will spend it on beer instead and loose my key on the way home from the pub!

All that faffing with that last one, I think I'd rather just have a key, conveniently located on a keyring...with the rest of my keys.

Am I missing the point??
