I'd like to get hold of a decent lawn sprinkler - a metal type with a longish throw. I can find nothing but horrid plastic ones which are pretty hopeless for a large lawn.

Any recommendations thirstily received.

This is st hot.

I'm surprised at the area it can cover, despite water pressure here being pitifully low.

To put this into context, I'm responsible for 3 acres of garden, at 209 m above sea level.

Above chalk. Dry.

We've had a bigger version of something like this http://www.homeandgardengifts.co.uk/Garden/Accesso... for over 12 years.Been absolutely brilliant, just lay the hose out where you want the sprinkler to wander, and it propels itself via the water pressure using the hose as its guide.
