Assuming you use noisy petrol equipment, what time would you think is reasonable to start?

Yesterday (sunday) had a women go loopy cos I started at 10am... Apparently I was disturbing her sleep!

Silly moo. 10am is fine.... I would suggest 9:00/9:30 on a sunday.

9 is fine.

Although in this case I suggest you go out and just finish off the tufty bits now.

Another vote for 9.

I quite like the sound of an early morning mower. It makes me feel all weekendy.

I would say 10 onwards sounds reasonable.I think 9 is a bit inconsiderate but it all depends on how loud it is I guess?
Best way to think about it is, if you went out for a drink the Saturday night, came in at 2 or 3, would you want somebody mowing at 9?
I know some people get up really early after a night out sometimes, I'm one of them people.

Some people really do love complaining for the most spurious of reasons. 10am is perfectly acceptable on a Sunday. I'd say anything after 9am is fine.

Start at 9am next week and if she complains explain you've got a potential buyer who wants to take it for a 50 minute test drive at a steady 3mph to confirm mpg.

On that basis there could be people coming back home at 6am so perhaps no mowing before midday.

Screw em, dirty stop-outs. The world doesn't stop because someone fancies a late night.

My grandad told me it was best to cut the lawn in the evening, but I have heard early morning is ok so long as theres not too much dew. I would say that 10am is too late as the suns up by then and the grass can get scorched.

I'd tell the neighbor to suck it up - she probably does something that annoys you, but you have been to polite to mention. Or maybe she would prefer that you left your garden unkempt with perhaps an old sofa for decoration

Well I need to try to do mine before the rain comes and figure I should wait until 10am. As the general consensus on here seems to be 9am (for a Sunday), I may apply that to B.H. Monday to dbe sure I beat the weather.................

Later the better, for the grass's sake.

10am is perfectly acceptable socially.

I'm hardly an early riser but I think anybody should be up by 10.00am unless they're either shift workers or pig lazy.

I always seem to have one set of neighbours who spend all day in dressing gowns. What's that all about then?
