Don't really rate Next towels - they don't wash that well.

Much prefer John Lewis.

Egyptian cotton is the way to go then wash and tumble dry, if you wash and line dry they don't absorb water as well as if they have been tumble dried.

I understand fabric conditioner is the death of towels. So avoid it in the towel wash if ye can.

I dunno if his Mrs is anything like mine everything gets put in together and a big dose of conditioner added, sometimes it feels like I have to hammer the creases out of my shirts.

I've always bought John Lewis egyptian cotton towels; however the OH has just bought a few from BHS, they're also egyptian cotton and were cheap. Will have to see if they wash as well as the JL ones.
