can i ask if you have used this stuff, we have just under 10m2 of slate and wondering whether 1litre will be enough.
thanks
Possibly!thanks
It really depends a lot on the porosity (if you splash some water in the slate does it sink in or tend to run off ?)
You only need a thin coat
Wifey works for Mandarin Stone. Here's a sealant selector for you.........

You need to waterproof before you do anything else to it. Follow the links in the chart.
Edited to add............
Wet rooms, Wet Areas & Stone Bathware
Such areas are exposed to more intense and prolonged periods of exposure to water. We would therefore advise more specific water protection involving one application of Fila Hydrorep or Fila HP98 followed by one to two applications of FilaFob or Fila W68. FilaFob should always be used with Fila Hydrorep and Fila W68 with Fila HP98. A surface sealant should not be used as, with prolonged exposure to moisture, these sealants can become cloudy

Lithofin is where it's at. I have some slate sealer with gloss finish left over - about 4 litres. It is pretty shiny though. Happy to send you some if you want to try it out?
hi thanks for the offer, i used the colour intensifier and was pretty happy with the outcome, missus would have wanted it to have a more shiny finish but i think it looks fine.... another job ticked off the list. Just got to get the floor sorted now.Edited by stolt on Saturday 11th June 21:21
