Cicuit breaker tripping
Discussion
Check all connections in your fusebox are tight for a kick off, make sure you use an insulated screwdriver and/or that everything is turned off, even with the main switch in the off position the bottom side is still live.
I wouldn't leave your sockets on the 40A MCB, if there is a fault changing it for a larger MCB is not curing it, its potentially dangerous.
Have you been drilling any walls, putting pictures up ect, anything that could have caught a cable?
Do you have an RCD split consumer unit/fuse box?
