Hi All

I don't suppose anyone knows where i can get some box end brackets for a beech venetian blind ?

I found some on ebay but they are white and the wrong size. I am after something thats at least brown or a wood sort of colour.

Scoured all the usual suspects on google so i suspect this might be a special request...

Cheers!

Every make of venetian blind will have a headrail that is likely to be a different profile/size.
Is it wood or ali slat,16/25/35 or 50mm size slat, plastic or steel headrail?

Hi smile

The headrail is steel and is approx 30mm (width) x 22mm (height), beech slats are approx 26mm. Its a standard homebase jobbie...

Not much hope i bet lol

I'll have a look when I pop into work on Monday, but it's highly unlikely I'm afraid. What's the depth front to back?
If all else fails, drill a hole through the headrail from underneath (keeping clear of the mechanisms) and screw through those.

Sorry probably not describing it as good as i could - its 30mm deep, slats are 26mm.

Thats very kind of you re. looking at work. If all else fails the screws through the rail directly might just be the way forward !

Thanks smile

As yours is a homebase type it's not likely I'm afraid.
The closest we have are as follows
Front to back 50mm
Top to bottom 48mm.
You're welcome to have them if they'll do.

Thanks a lot for looking mate - Love the PH spirit thats present on this forum sometimes smile

I think i will just screw the rail into the upper portion of the window sill. I think a couple of decent screws and plugs and maybe a washer on each screwhead will do the trick. A couple of chrome caps on the screw heads will tidy it up a bit.

Have a good week !

No probs.
Drill the holes well away from the mechanisms,so as you tighten the screws it won't damage them as the headrail starts to distort. Also don't overtighten as mormally the mechs are flush with the top of the rail and need a bit of clearance to move.
