Woodstain on an exterior door
Discussion
I recently bought a softwood pine exterior door and have put a coat of this woodstain on it.

The finish is fine, but it has made the colour of the door a bit too 'bright'. I'd like to try something a bit darker. The Sadolin product suggests three coats on new wood, so would it be a good idea to put one more coat of this colour on (I have loads left!) and then something darker.
Would I be best to stick with the same product type, use something different on top of the Sadolin or strip it off and start again?
