Got you, I read your post wrong.

Have worked on several buildings (before and after) with these. Was amazed at the amount of light given off.

Fantastic things, all light tubes will work so you can buy on price and cost of fitting.

Cool thanks, I see the solid tubes are more efficent than the corrugated ones.

Will I need any permissions to install it, TBH the council already did me over on a loft conversion, so I cant really be arsed to deal with the corrupt w**nkers any more!

Only if your property is listed or you are in a conservation area. Quick call to your council will tell.

Pitched or flat roof??

Usually solid tubes with the shortest possible length is the best way to go. Also the largest diameter obviously allows more light in.

We have one, it doesn't make a lot of difference but thats probably because we told the builder to put it in the darker area of the room - trouble was, that was beneath the north facing pitch on the roof. If it had been fitted on the south facing side, it would have been much better I think.

It is a pitched Roof, West facing I would like as much natural light as possible, So I guess a 45cm tube with a diffuser on?
