Do me a f**king favour, any mug can buy some cheap pine tat, paint it, scratch it and then label it "distressed", but they wouldnt be charging some of the prices I've seen.

Fashion is such a waste of time.

Ive got old furniture that look s really st.
BUt expensive distressed look really cool.
SO there is a difference but I cant work out for the life of me what it is.

As a cabinet maker it does my nut in seeing some of the junk people buy as regards furniture... furious

The "Distressed" stuff I see on sale in some shops ranks pretty high in my list of hated things, along with the Swedish four letter word beginning with I smash

And when you consider how much really nice old furniture (as opposed to Antiques) sells for at some auctions these days well... rolleyes
