I realize this is difficult to answer particularly accurately, but can someone give me a ball-park figure for building work to insulate/dry-line the walls and put a suspended ceiling or similar in 6 m x 12 m garage? How many zeros are we talking?

Batten out the walls with 75mm studs with 75mm Celotex between.

Plasterboard over & skim.

Over your suspended ceiling allow for a minimum of 270mm quilt insulation.
