Hi,

I looked at a house to buy through an estate agent.
Now the house is not with that estate agent any longer.
It is with another estate agent.

If after lookign with the first agent i want to have another look and maybe make an offer, where do i stand?

Does it have to be through the original estate agent who is now not selling the properrrty?

Can i go direct to the owner, a friend of a friend?

How does this work?

As the buyer, is the responsility with the owner and i can can go through whoever i like or go direct?

I did sign soemthing when viewing with the first agent. But i dont rememebr the exact conditions. And they are not handling the property anymore.

Cheers
Phil.

What agent it is is nothing to do with you, its the vendors problem. View with the new agent and go through the normal channels.

+1 this is how we purchased our fist house. EA changed after first viewing, so we went to the new EA. Just as well really, as all our original offer thro the first EA were not passed onto the vendor!
