Just removed a old conservatory this weekend and im left with the glue from the old flashband most of it came off when i pulled it off but im left with some black sticky substance.
Also old silicone i removed most of it with a screwdriver i will get some silicone eater and try that.
I have tried brick cleaner and acetone what i had in the garage but they both did'nt shift it.

Thinking about using petrol to help disolve the gunk any clues please?

Thanks

I would be careful as you may find it will dissolve it, and then run all over the place leaving runny black stains?

Try petrol (or brake cleaner) and it should get rid of it.
It'll be some sort of "RIW" Bituminous paint primer, like paintable tar.

Using Jizer it's going well 1 side off and the old silicone.

You can still see the old silicone line just the remover has soften the bricks a little but it is much better.

The other half tomorrow night smile

I ve taken a picture will take another when done then post.

Cheers thumbup
