I have an integrated BOSCH dishwasher, a model that seems to be the same appliance but many other brands seem to stick their name on it! It has just a power button and 5 black buttons on the top edge of the door, plus a digital read out, that has, for the last x years just displayed the number of minutes left to run.

However, in recent days the wash cycle seems to get 'stuck', we return to the washer and it sounds like its trying to pump out water, the detergent lid has not opened and in the digital display it reads F. Also, strangely the pump continues to pump even though I have opened the door.

I have tried the reset, also checked out the pump and cleared it of any debris (although it must be working because any water it has pumped in has been draining).

But now I'm stuck for ideas. So trying PH massiv to assist.

If you don't have a clue but could recomend a suitable engineer to come and look at it in the South Essex area, then that would be good too.

Sounds like a water filling problem but you can run a full diagnostics test.

Sounds like you've got something stuck in the drainage outlet, usually a fruit stone or the like.

Pull out the bottom tray and remove it and try to find an access hatch and have a delve around. You may have to remove a little plastic flap or door to get access.

Smiler.

We have same/similar model & last year had problems with the cold feed plumbing. Similar symptoms to yours - as others have said, check the feed for air locks/blockages.

Ours was via a tank though (softened water) so less pressure than mains.

Was a nightmare to fix ours as the plumbing was a mess - DBB (dun by builder). Used a large measuring jug & a stopwatch to prove that the flow was insufficient for a fill.

Good luck.

It would seem the F means its a supply problem. One possible is the Aquastop thingy, but I have followed instructions to turn off supply, disconnect pipe, re-connect and turn on. But still same problem. What is weird is that its trying to (I assume) pump water in when the door is open! Anyway, plan of action is to try and put another water supply pipe on, to try and rule out a faulty Aquastop. Getting the unit out from under the worktop is the next challenge.

this sounds like a similar problem to what I had with my bosch dishwasher a while back, traced the problem back to blocked pressure chamber and flow regulator - have a look at this ph thread here
