'4' bedroom house for £595k

2 bedrooms downstairs, and the living room upstairs - WTF?!

A thatched roof in a beautiful village does not this price command

This country seems to be obsessed with number of bedrooms in a property. Hence four rooms called bedrooms and the master bedroom called living room.

My house has three bedrooms upstairs, but two of the rooms downstairs could have beds in and be called bedrooms, still leaving a living room, dining room, kitchen and breakfast room.

Elsewhere property is assessed by floor area, much more realistic

Picture 2. If the photographer had stepped back a pace or two he would have been standing on the A413! The pictures are very selective. The text refers to the garden being mainly on 2 sides. That's right, the other two sides are the main road (60 mph) and the neighbouring houses. I can't imagine a house like this, so close to a main road, fetching this kind of money. I drive past this house every day, it's been on the market at least a year



The house is almost touching the buildings at the rear, and they are not part of the property.
