dog repellent

somebody's dog (is the apostrophe in the right place?) is stting in my back garden. It must either jump over the fence or walk up my drive. This is pissing me off. My garden doesn't need to be like Chelsea Flower Show, just free of dog st. I've never caught the dog to give it a boot full of wisdom, so it looks like I need to sort of a repellent. Any ideas or suggestions will be gratefully received.

I could well be a fox rather than a dog. (Which doesn't help much with how to stop it I am afraid.)

My money is on a fox to be honest, someone has already suggested getting a dog, but as you clearly dislike dogs i would advise against this action, i would suggest you start taking a evening dump on your lawn, see how you go, and get back to us for more ideas if this option fails.
