Steam iron went bang, what about a steam generator?
Discussion
The old faithfully steam iron went bang today.
I've seen these non-pressurised steam generators and pressurised steam generators, it seems the pressurised steam generators are the way to go. Are the later the V8 or maybe even V12 of the new iron world?
Is this the case and which one should I buy?
It is important as I iron all my own shirts (I know I shouldn't have to) and Mrs CCCS irons for 3 small kids who will throw their clothes in the wash as quick as a supermodel unless I catch them first.

I'm doing the ironing whilst Mrs BL is away and using a Morphy Richards Jet Steam Elite (I know, I know. Flash b
d, you're thinking!).
Anyway, I have no idea whether it's pressurised or not but it certainly works pretty damn well even for a numpty like me and is certainly a lot easier and quicker than a conventional steam iron.
The only other thing I'd add is that I know we have replaced a few in the past 'cos they started leaking or leaving marks on the clothes but we've had this one for a while and no probs but we bought from Argos so if there is any issue, you take it back to the shop and don't have to send it back to the manufacturer. On this, it's also worth taking out the extended warranty.
