I've got the water board coming round tomorrow (at fcensoredg last) to come and connect my shiny new water main, wot I have buried

I've got to connect the other end (obviously) and I've got the appropriate (I hope) 25mm MDPE to 22mm copper brass stopcock. I've never fitted one before, I assume I just fit a pipe liner and screw it together like any other compression fitting, but thought I'd ask the wisdom of PH just to make sure

Oi, stick to your trade wink

22mm incoming main after stopcock. How posh.

Press the insert/ pipe liner/ pipe stiffener into the blue water main, then compress the stop cock on it like you would onto copper. Simples.

You'll need to give it some oomph, though.
