Does this toaster actually exist?
Discussion
About seven months ago I decided to buy a toaster. Being a bloke I had to have one that's awesome, so I settled on this...

However, the only place that said they sold is was Argos, and they had none in stock at any of their local stores, or to deliver online. Seven months on, still none. Anywhere! WTF?

And yes. I know they do a Sixer, my wife even bought one for me, but even I thought it a little too Cadillac like and unnecessary.......
The four is perfect IMHO had one for about three years it's now never missed a beat.

It looks like after being released on 15th April 2011, it's already been discontinued http://www.lavertons.co.uk/product_info.php?produc...

I'm loving the similar items on that link...

OP loses 20 man points for starting a thread on toasters, and gains 40 woman points for being so specific about the toaster he wants.
Surely you could get the same/similar result on an electric hotplate though?

I've had many people tell me about the magic of toast on a aga. Never tried it though.Surely you could get the same/similar result on an electric hotplate though?
Whilst being a true PHer a full on Dualit graces our kitchen worktops, and truly excellent toastit makes too, whilst wandering round Cole Brothers John Lewis the other day I did notice this

Also noticed one model where the casing seemed to change colour according to how done the toast was, but actually seeing the toast iteslef brown seems to be more reliable.
PH Evenly done toast matters.
bugger just beaten to it by Zod.

Quite.
I bought a white one from Sainsburys that does 4 slices, it cost £6. Its still going a year later, I don't think its worth spending £100 on one that does the same.
You could say that about everything though.I bought a white one from Sainsburys that does 4 slices, it cost £6. Its still going a year later, I don't think its worth spending £100 on one that does the same.
I bet most Dualit's are bought as presents - it's pitched at just the right sort of value for that.
