Hello peeps,

We quite fancy white wood-effect laminate "planks" in our bathroom (about to fit a new one); there are plenty of white wood laminates available but I can't yet find one which is suitable for a bathroom. At best they claim to be "splash" resistant (so far!).

Any suggestions please?

They do vary, but can be slippy as anything when wet..

I'd prefer plank effect vinyl. Warmer, softer, waterproof, insignificant height for door to clear.

Unless you want to be writing a thread titled 'How to remove blown laminate flooring without disturbing sink and toilet' I wouldn't bother.

This.

We have plank effect vinyl - it's very nice to step onto when you drag yourself from a hot shower on a winter's morning.

please do not put laminate flooringin your bathroom, way too much water around and could be sloppy.
as others have said there are plenty of slip resistant vinyl floorings in plank effect

Thanks for all the advice; we didn't know about plank-effect vinyl so will look it up.

Thanks

Just visit a good carpet shop and you'll find book-fulls of vinyl patterns.

What about wood plank style karndean? Great product, slightly textured so not too slippy and comes in a vast range of "woods" also properly waterproof.

Ps. I would never fit laminate boards in a bathroom!
