In a couple of years I will be wanting to refurbish our kitchen. However, the taps we have I don't think will last that long and I would rather replace them before they break. Because I am wanting to refurb the kitchen I do not want to pay ££££'s for the taps and will be quite happy with the cheapest. Now I have contacted a couple of plumbers and the quotes to supply and fit are about £150 inc VAT, does this seem right? I can see taps in B&Q for about £25. Please don't say do it yourself as I am most probably the most hamfisted bloke ever!!!!!

Many thanks!

Just turn off the mains. It's really, really simple.

What a totally pointless waste of money!! I love the comments where people are saying how good it is. Relatives????

This. Just remember, when you turn the little stoptaps under the sink, to make sure they're the ones connected to the taps and not the dishwasher and washing machine instead...

Not that I've made that mistake, obviously... getmecoat

you'd be looking between £50 & £100 labour, plus the cost of the taps.

Absolutely. Much better than that crappy Shetak spanner he's using in the comedy video.

What is the point of replacing a tap in a kitchen you are going to replace anyway. If it breaks worry about it then. If it doesn't, don't.
