Stove flue direction
Discussion
So we've moved into a house that has a Scan 45 and got the local sweep round to give it a clean before winter. He has told us that the flue has been intalled the wrong way up.
Running vertically from the stove, the flue pipe runs into the downward pointing large end of a spigot joint of the pipe above. If that makes sense.
Is the sweep correct? Am I going to have to get the flue relined as his inference was that it could invalidate my house insurance. I'm trying to get an installation firm round to give it a once over.

I'm hoping it will be that simple. however, that ders assume the rest has been put in ok. There is a clamped stainless fitting close to the ceiling that the flue connects to, and I hope its corrugated pipe above that, so just 2m to flip over. But you never know.

The 'corrugated' is directional as well. Dr Rick
