I've mounted a tyre rack in the garage that holds a set of 4 wheels and tyres. The wall is what I would call breeze blocks and I'm worried about the whole lot coming down on the car.

Its mounted currently with 4 M8 anchor bolts, will this be sufficient? When tightening the bolts you could hear the blocks crunching scratchchin

Isn't there a bar missing across the top? I'd have thought you need something to spread the pivot/lever load on the upper bolts.

The top bolts are the important ones as there's a pulling force not shear force. Give them a good tug; if they stay firm you should be OK.

As said a bar with more fixings would be better.

I was thinking about putting one of those up. How much was it? I see them on ebay for £160.

Blimey, you could make your own with two beefy brackets from Screwfix mounted upside down and a metal tube!
