Best External Door Locks

Hello,

What would people recommend as a good Night latch and mortice lock.

I was thinking a Yale BS1,2,3,4 and a insurance approved 5 level mortice deadlock.

What should I be looking for with night latch locks? I can't tell the difference between a BS1 and BS3.

Would anyone recommend somewhere to buy locks. Ebay seems to have excellent prices but is it a bit dodgy?

Can't really help too much with precisely what to buy, but recently bought a load of locks from Saunderson Security - found them very helpful (and they can do keyed alike locks too, which are surprisingly useful).

If you're buying locks/keys on-line, have them sent to a different address than the one you are fitting the locks to!
A couple of months back I had to fit a new lock for a friend because when she rang a previous lodger about getting her keys back, he said he had put them in the post.
Screwfix have a decent range and are usually pretty competetive, or find a local locksmiths who will usually do you a deal if you're having extra keys cut at the same time.
