Flat Roof - ballpark figure
Discussion
Hi folks
Any roofers able to provide a rough figure for the following works?
18" by 8" Kitchen roof
Remove existing felt (and pebbley stuff on roof)
Remove 2 rotten fascias
Replace felt and facias
Cover topsheet of felt with silver paint.
I appreciate the figure may vary due to lack of info. All advice appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
I can't give you a quote as I am not a builder. However I recommend you have a look at the Wickes Easy Seal roofing felt. My Dad and I just completely reboarded and felted my tandem garage (approx 40 square metres) and the cost of all of the materials was under £1000. The Easy Seal stuff is easy to use and is self adhesive so you don't have to mess around with hot tar, etc.

You'll be doing it again soon. I can't give you a quote as I am not a builder. However I recommend you have a look at the Wickes Easy Seal roofing felt. OP if you were in Essex, circa £800 in an HT Felt, nobody paints in Solaflect anymore, its a cheap and nasty way to finish a roof.It would be mineral finish. Fascia would be UPVC. Any deck replacement would add £10 M2 and any timber repair once rotten fascia removed possibly extra.

Have you thought about a GRP roof???
That way you won't need to ask this question again in 10 years time!
No I hadn't. The one that I've been quoted for is £1100 inc VAT and comes with a 10 year guarantee. Its supposed to be a fairly reputable firm and if everything goes to plan I'll be moving in 5 or so years so I think it should be sufficient for my purposes. That way you won't need to ask this question again in 10 years time!
Thanks to all for your comments.
