Flat Roof - ballpark figure
Discussion
Hi folks
Any roofers able to provide a rough figure for the following works?
18" by 8" Kitchen roof
Remove existing felt (and pebbley stuff on roof)
Remove 2 rotten fascias
Replace felt and facias
Cover topsheet of felt with silver paint.
I appreciate the figure may vary due to lack of info. All advice appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
I can't give you a quote as I am not a builder. However I recommend you have a look at the Wickes Easy Seal roofing felt. My Dad and I just completely reboarded and felted my tandem garage (approx 40 square metres) and the cost of all of the materials was under £1000. The Easy Seal stuff is easy to use and is self adhesive so you don't have to mess around with hot tar, etc.

You'll be doing it again soon. OP if you were in Essex, circa £800 in an HT Felt, nobody paints in Solaflect anymore, its a cheap and nasty way to finish a roof.It would be mineral finish. Fascia would be UPVC. Any deck replacement would add £10 M2 and any timber repair once rotten fascia removed possibly extra.I can't give you a quote as I am not a builder. Have you thought about a GRP roof???
That way you won't need to ask this question again in 10 years time!
No I hadn't. The one that I've been quoted for is £1100 inc VAT and comes with a 10 year guarantee. Its supposed to be a fairly reputable firm and if everything goes to plan I'll be moving in 5 or so years so I think it should be sufficient for my purposes. That way you won't need to ask this question again in 10 years time!
Thanks to all for your comments.
