Morning all..

Has anyone got any experience with products similar to this:

http://www.rubberfix.co.uk/

We've got a flat roof that needs re roofing and this stuff looks interesting...

It looks like a viable DIY installation but thought i'd get some other views first.

Never seen that one before, but when I did my extension, I used the Easy Seal stuff from Wickes.

2 stage, underlay & cap sheet, self adhesive and cold application but requires a primer and if you can, a fresh surface.

That was 3 years ago and it's been perfect.

Yes EPDM is very good, easy, durable, permanently repairable. Sellers of traditional stuff lead/felt/fibreglass etc. slag it off because it lasts too long and they never get repeat business!

I fit it and EPDM is good. Like all systems though, it has to be done correctly or it will still leak.
Check out my profile, which includes a link to my website, if you're not too far away and can give me some more info, I could always give you a quote.

Epdm membranes are good if fitted right and they have absolute minimum traffic - window cleaners and ladders are not a good idea ..

Save yourself the hassle and get the guys in who know how to do this, get someone round to have a look at whats best - i.e if its piss wet through you may have to strip it all, any thoughts to insulation ? etc
