decided to try and wall mount a flat screen tv , i have planned to attach some batton then mdf to make a false wall so i can stuff the cables behind and partialy hide the bracket so the tv is tight against the new wall

can anyone advise on what style of bracket would work best , as if it all goes to plan i wont be able to reach behind the tv once its in place on the wall as some need a few screws nipped up?

Screwfix do universal brackets for this type of job.

You fix the bracket to the wall and slide the telly down on to it.

Did this about 6 months ago onto a stud wall.

& they are the cheapest brackets I found!

You will need a big enough gap between the 'wall' and the TV to fit the connectors in, especially if the TV has rear mount connections. Brackets usually come with some spacers to help achieve the required gap.
