I tend to have it on in the mornings, because getting out of bed when it's freezing is unbearable.

Me too.

I have old injuries in my shoulder joints, the second they ache the heating goes on.
I've had the heating on the summer before...

I smoke in my office, windows open, heating on, door to the house shut...

A 450w oil heater costs bugger all to run, keeps a nice flow of warm air coming out from under my desk which is all you need.

The daytime and night time charges on our meter were set the wrong way around some years ago, so the GF tells me. Cant see how its possible to do this, but no one from the electricity board has noticed since being round, GF isn't about to make a complaint either.

I live in an old cottage that can get PROPERLY cold in the morning. It'll generally go on then. It's still warm enough outside during the day to keep it off.

Maybe we could have a whip round for you if times are hard? I'll stick a pound in your meter if you like. That is not a euphemism.

Similar here - 3 hours in the morning (between 5 and 8). Its hard enough getting ready for work @5.00am without being freezing cold hehe

Working from home today and it's a bit chilly (mainly my feet), so I've just put on some nice furry slippers. I'm determined not to put the heating on if I can avoid it!

Agreed. Life's too short and getting out of bed in the mornings is hard enough as it is*

Don't understand being rock hard when it comes to heating, set the thermostat so it comes on when it's a bit chilly.

that said, my wife is always cold so it's rarely off.
