I've been noticing a lot of 0800 0 numbers. Is this some kind of scam to make you think it's a free number when it's not?

Well it's not 0800 as in free, it's 08000. I thought it might be something different.

It is 0800, it's just that the actual number starts with a zero rather than another digit. Yes they're free (not from a mobile)
