I had a bit of re-wiring done recently and have ended up with one of the switches in my hall needing to be 2 gang, but with one 2-way and one intermediate switch. I know I can do this with a modular light switch, but I can't seem to find anyone that does a brass modular switch with brass rockers - you always seem to have to get either black or white rockers.
Does anyone know where I can get one with brass rockers? Preferably in a Georgian style (with the rope border), but would happily go for a plain one if I can't find a Georgian style one

Cheers

Check out the FocusSB range. They do Georgian brass with brass rockers. They don't list what you want in the catalogue I have, but will make specials on request.

Their details are:
www.focus-sb.co.uk
E:sales@focus-sb.co.uk
T:01424 440734

Alternatively you could make up the switch out of MK Grosvener Plus with grid switches.

2 gang roped edge brass plate is part number K4332 POB

2 gang mounting grid is a K3702

2 way grid switch is a K4892PBRW (if brass rocker with white surround) or K4892PBRB (if brass rocker with black suround).

Intermediate switch is K4893PBRW (for brass rocker with white surround) or K4893PBRB (for brass rocker with black surround).

The grid switch numbers are from the MK Edge range, as the standard Grid Plus range isn't available with polished brass switch rockers.

Or have two seperate swithches side by side.

Varilight do a switch with what you want,
XDB71S is brushed brass
XDV71s is polished brass

Although it's unlear from the catalogue if the rocker is brass or not,no toggle unfortunately.

http://www.varilight.co.uk/switches.html

click on catalogue and look at page 6.

We have Varilight switches and sockets in antique brass, swithes have toggles, but the catalogue does not show that range anymore,so it may have been delisted.

The FocusSB specials service is, in my experience, purely hypothetical.

A company called switchtowood do specials and I can recommend them highly if you're every in need of bespoke stuff- very much a can-do attitude.

But for the OP any half decent electrical wholesaler should be able to make up what he wants from stock, or at least promptly, given brass isn't as popular as it used to be. Failing that any retailer of "heritage brass" should be able to order one as a special at a not-ludicrous price.

I know exactly what you are looking for because I have recently bought some! I wanted intermediate switch to look exactly the same as other switches in the same fitting. Regent electrical in Folkestone make these themselves. I went for brushed chrome, but I am sure they do lots of styles.
