Hi all, I fitted electric underfloor heating to a small bathroom a few months ago and have only recently turned it on.

I have set the thermostat up with the correct floor settings, wooden floor, tiled upper. If I set the thermostat to 21 then it takes the chill off but you can't really feel any heat, if I set it to 24 then it is a nice warm feeling underfoot.

So what do others set their thermostat at as I have nothing to gauge against ?

I recently did the same.

I've set mine to 22 degrees room temperature. I also have floor temperature set as a maximum 22 at the moment. This should be around 28 to enable the room to be heated properly.

I'm happy however at the 22 just having the chill taken off the tiles so will leave it as that.

That's good to know, I was worried I was trying to heat up the downstairs ceiling instead of the floor.

We had a basement heated with electric underfloor heating, and the thermostat was a couple of degrees out (ie set it to 21 and the room would reach 19).

You might also find that heat from other rooms is warming your bathroom so the UFH isn't having to work that hard.
