how to DIY deck a roof terrace
Discussion
Found these a little while ago,
http://www.easyfix.ie/decking.html
Like little rubber shoes that support the joists which might work without damaging the felt.
The website is irish but I have seen them on uk websites with prices - they have little slot in shims to level off the deck and seem quite reasonably priced.

Go and buy a thick rubber doormat or car mat. Cut it up into squares and make sure frame sits on them. The pads shown above are excelllent but may prove expensive. We use a support called a Versajack that are height adjustable for larger apps but they're about £40 each. Complete unit though.
