Hi All,

I've got a crack in my hot water tank, so want to use this as an excuse to replace my whole system with a combi system. I do most jobs around the house myself, but want to get a proper certified firm in to do this. Does anyone know of any decent places around the Reading area that would be able to offer me a quote?

Thanks.

Why do you think you want a combi system? have you done any research or is it just something you have been told? genuine question btw as I come across this quit a lot and I often wonder where the idea comes from.

Well I wasn't going to bother, but as the hot water tank has gone, I thought this would be the best time to do it. I have very low hot water pressure due to the tank placement, and it can't go any higher as I'm in a maisonette. The tank/boiler take up a lot of storage space which will be useful, and I've also been told by a plumber friend that they are more efficient too.

If you only have one bathroom and have a good flow from the mains you can probably live with a combi,I was interested as I spend a lot of time talking people out of them.
